In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

President’s Briefing: Have a Safe Memorial Day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once again Memorial Day is upon us.  We hope you have completed your spring-cleaning and have the backyard and Bar-B-Ques ready for special days like this one.  We await the arrival of friends and family to launch the unofficial beginning of summer.
We must also remember that Memorial Day is a day to honor our military men and women serving our nation; and pay tribute to some of the most honored women and men who continue to be the foundation of this country.
As you take time to spend this Holiday with your family and friends, make it a point to share your knowledge with the younger members of your group the heritage of peace time and war times so they are able to appreciate the bravery of men and women, who in the past and in the present, have fought and continue to fight to safeguard the freedoms that we all enjoy.
In short, Memorial Day is maintaining the support and commemorating those heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in preserving a foundation worth keeping, your freedom!   On behalf of the National VA Council I wish you a safe Memorial Day!
