In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed. Alma L. In This Briefing: Best wishes for a memorable Fourth of July!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Monday, July 4th, 2005, we gather with friends and family to celebrate the anniversary of the signing of our Declaration of Independence. The day will be filled with picnics, parades, and millions of American’s watching firework festivities when night falls. Yet, we must not forget why we celebrate this day. This is when our forefather’s signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, which made us a free nation. America’s Birthday!
Like our forefathers who battled tyranny, we as a nation are grateful. The sacrifice that has been made, and will be made, is what enables us to live in freedom today. We are a nation today because what our forefathers, and every generation through our existence as a nation has done, and is willing to do. Fight for our freedom and human rights. Our beautiful America leads the way in freedom of rights and liberty. As we continue in that endeavor, let us work together for continual peace. Let Freedom Ring!
Best wishes for a memorable Fourth of July!
