order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the
concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have
established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring
you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the
current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe
that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate
and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

Briefing: Labor Union NPSB Training

In a
message dated November 11, 2009, you were notified about the Nurse
Professional Standard Board training on December 16, 2009. The
following is additional information about this training. Please refer

The
Labor Union Nurse Professional Standard Board Training is scheduled to take
place December 16th from 12:00 – 3:00 pm EST. This is a
virtual conference and will be limited to the first 250 participants that
log into the conference site. Please register for the conference
online before attending. See registration link below. You
will also need to call VANTS (toll-free) in order to have audio:
1-800-767-1750; access code: 62242. This virtual training
was designed to equip NPSB Labor Partners with the knowledge and tools
necessary to gain understanding of the changes to Handbook 5005, appendix G6
pertaining to the Nursing Qualification Standards.
