In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

In This Briefing: Honoring Our Veterans
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11th, we who serve our nation’s veterans are particularly reminded that on this holiday, we honor the great men and women of the armed services who have made so many sacrifices through the toughest of times to preserve our nation.
We must pause and salute those who have served and those who continue to serve our great nation during peacetime and in wartime. Many veterans have placed themselves in harms way in order to protect our freedom as well as secure our liberty.
Our nation’s veterans deserve the best. On a daily basis I see and appreciate the hard work each and every one of you provide, offering the highest quality of care for all our veterans. I salute you for your commitment and efforts!
With turmoil in the world and devastation created by natural disasters, let us be grateful to the men and women who continue to guard us from those who would do us harm and comfort us when the going gets tough. We should all take a moment to express thanks and gratitude to a veteran for a job well done.
On behalf of the National VA Council, I would like to wish everyone a safe Veterans Day holiday weekend. I sincerely hope you will all enjoy the extra time with family, friends, and loved ones. Though let us not forget our nation’s veterans who are abroad, and hope they return home safely.
