order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the
concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have
established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you
the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current
status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this
NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way
in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

As
another summer is about to come to a close. Vacations to various
destinations only a memory as we soon face Fall and then Winter. To
many a last chance to extend summer, but for a little longer.
Labor
Day, is a day to honor both working men and women. It is dedicated to
the social and economic achievements of American workers; and is a national
tribute to the contributions that workers have made to the well being of our
country.
On
behalf of the AFGE/National VA Council, on this Labor Day, I would like to
salute each and every one of you for all your hard work, dedication and
commitment to caring for our nation’s veterans.
