In
order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the
concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have
established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you
the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current
status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this
NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way
in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

In
This Briefing: Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This
Sunday we will be observing another magnificent 4th of July.
One of our most important holidays because it celebrates not only the birth
of the United States but a free United States built on the courage and
perseverance of our early ancestors and how the stroke of a pen could begin
a nation with the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Our
country, a large melting pot for humanity has grown into a solid nation of
equality, strength, hope and determination. The sacrifice
and courage that was demonstrated back in the 18th century
continues today with our brave friends, family and loved ones who serve
around the globe to keep us as one nation united. As we move
forward in our ventures and grow, we must be able to adapt to those who may
try to do ill will toward us as a nation and against the principles we stand
for.
So
go out and celebrate this great holiday with your family, friends and
neighbors watch the fireworks and enjoy your freedom. If you see a
veteran, thank him/her for their service. On behalf of the National VA
Council, I would like to say have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
