In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

In This Briefing:  Contract Negotiations Asheville, NC ~ Day 4

Today is the fourth day of Contract Negotiations at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina.  We discussed Article 25,”Parking and Transportation”, with no resolution.

 

Management has six observers this week, from the areas of Wichita, Kansas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Columbia, South Carolina; Hampton, Virginia; Beckley, West Virginia, and Asheville, North Carolina.

 

From the Union side, observers today were Bob Caldwell, President of Local 0446, Asheville, NC; together with Angela McClennan, Lisa Blackwell, Donna Ramblin, Linda Hall, Kathy Ginsberg and Sharon Hart of the Asheville Local.
