In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

In This Briefing:   Military Health History Pocket Card

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Below you will find a link regarding the Military Health History Pocket Card.  Please share this with all your health care professions/trainees.  This resource can help provide a guide to understanding health issues that are unique to veterans.
It can be used to capitalize on many learning opportunities:
ü Give trainees better understanding of the veteran’s perspective.
ü Encourage trainees & staff to take more careful, veteran-centered histories.
ü Stimulate case discussions augmented by information found on the web-site.
ü Consider discussing issues presented on the card during daily work rounds or informal case-based conferences.
Hope you will find this information helpful and will remind you of the importance of military history.
