In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

President’s Briefing: Final Day of Contract Negotiations in Orlando, FL

Today, March 28, 2008, is the last day of Contract Negotiations in Orlando, Florida.  We discussed details of Article 12 – “Reassignments & Temporary Promotions”; and a new Article 72, “Reassignment for Hybrids in Title 5”, with NO resolution.

 

Observers today were Ira Napier, President of Local #0547, Tampa, and thanks to Canteen Workers Lymarie Ramirez and Jorge Santiago.  

 

There was NO progress this week on the discussion of any of the Articles.
