In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

It is with sincere heartfelt sadness, that I must report Ms. Charlotte Flowers, 5^th District AFGE National Vice President, passed away yesterday evening at her home.  Once we have details of her arrangements we will share with you.

 Charlotte served as 5^th District AFGE National Vice President, also known as the “Fearless Fifth”, since 2002.  She was truly a dedicated activist and will be missed dearly!

At this time, we ask that everyone please keep her family and her staff at the AFGE 5^th District office in your thoughts and prayers.  More information to follow…
