In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

In This Briefing: Last Day of Contract Negotiations at the VAMC in Miami, Florida

Today is the last of Contract Negotiations in Miami, Florida at the VA Medical Center,

We have signed off on Article 66, “Job Sharing”, as well as Article 38, “Worker’s Compensation”.  So, this week we have signed off on a total of four articles.  We are currently discussing Article 10, “Competence”.

We wish to thank the Giselle Aponte, Local President of #515 and her Executive Board for great support throughout the week and their hospitality.
