In order to further improve the lines of communication and to respond to the concerns between the National VA Council and you our members, I have established a National VA Council Briefing. This NVAC Briefing will bring you the latest news and developments within DVA and provide you with the current status of issues this Council is currently addressing. I believe that this NVAC Briefing will greatly enhance the way in which we communicate and the way in which we share new information, keeping you better informed.

President’s Briefing: First & Second Day of Contract Negotiations in Columbia, SC

Monday, January 28^th and Tuesday, January 29^th were the first two days of Contract Negotiations, held in Columbia, South Carolina.   

Yesterday, we started to discuss Article 13A, “Title 38 Discipline and Adverse Actions” with absolutely NO movement.

Management wants this article to contain ‘management rights’ with NO information in this Article on ‘employee rights’.

Today, we continue to discuss Article 13A, which we expect NO resolution.
